subcontractors and supplier’s managers for controlling and coordinating safety within their respective
functional area. Sama Global Managers of functional areas and subcontractors and supplier’s managers
will be held accountable to all procedures and standards detailed herein.

10.14.1 Hazard Analysis
At the time of task assignment, the task is analyzed for hazards by the supervisor or a trained competent
designee and the personnel performing the task. Work activities will not commence until all parties are
satisfied that hazards have been identified, and that appropriate measures have been taken to protect the
task performer(s) from the hazards.
All involved personnel, from management to the task performer, will be trained in the Total Safety Task
Instruction (TSTI) process, as well as in hazard recognition skills as appropriate to the individual's
assignment. The appropriate use of TSTI is verified by the project's self audit program.
10.14.2 Hazard Communication
The Hazard Communication Standard was enacted to ensure that the hazards associated with chemicals
produced, imported or used are evaluated, and that the hazard information is communicated to affected
employers and employees. Required components of a Hazard Communication Program are:
Method of hazard determination.
Material safety data sheets (MSDS).
Labels and other forms of warning.
Employee information and training.
Written Hazard Communication Program.
Current inventory chemical list of hazardous materials for which a material safety data sheet should
be available.
Copies of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are available for employee review at the following location(s):
