Dikes shall be provided around all fuel storage areas. The use of any toxic or hazardous materials or
chemicals must be approved by the site HSE supervisor.
Spills of petroleum products, chemicals or other materials must be immediately cleaned up and
reported to the site HSE supervisor. Cleaning/ hydro blasting of process equipment must be
performed in run‐off containment areas approved for this type of work.
9.6.6 Special Hazard Programs
These programs include the removal of asbestos, extremely hazardous or regulated activities, etc. Specific
programs shall be developed based on hazards identified in the project/task hazard analysis.
9.6.7 Emergency Procedures
Emergency procedures shall be developed for all potential incidents including fire, explosion, toxic gas leaks
and weather disturbances. Contingencies exist for any combination of the above. These procedures shall
contain details on communications, fire fighting, medical, security, evacuation, resumption of operations
and others as deemed required.

Emergency procedures shall be included as part of the training of each employee on the project site. They
will be periodically reinforced through meetings, subsequent training and drills.
9.6.8 First Aid and Medical Facilities and Records
A medical facility shall be established at the project site, staffed by a certified emergency medical
technician/paramedic or nurse with certain specified duties. These duties shall include, but not be limited,
to:
Administering first aid as required
Working with physicians and emergency medical services
Maintaining office and medical supplies
Maintaining medical reports and confidentiality
Preparing all applicable medical, insurance, legal and OSHA forms, etc.
Working with injury management
9.6.9 Accident Reports and Investigations
Accident investigations, analyses and reports, along with record keeping tasks, are an important element of
Sama Global's loss prevention program. The following is a summary of analyses, reports and records
completed by Sama Global that are necessary or required by law:
Inspection reports
Accident reports
Accident and near‐miss investigations
Medical treatment reports and medical records
Personal and environmental health monitoring
Government reports ‐ OSHA 300, 300A, 301 and E/101, etc
Insurance records
Damage records
Monthly summaries and analyses of accident rates and unsafe acts/conditions
Safety training (tool box meeting minutes, hazardous task training)
