Shin guards or chaps shall be worn whenever using a chain saw, brush hook, scythe or cut off saw.
NOTE: Employees working on or near energized electrical part* shall wear either a dielectric toed
safety shoe with a defined heel, or an adequate leather shoe with a defined heel.
11.9.4 Hand Protection
Leather gloves shall be worn any time employees are handling materials or performing task.
All employees are required to wear proper and protection for the task they are performing.
The site supervisor shall provide special gloves such as chemical‐resistant, thermal, cut resistant,
etc., to their employees if needed for work.

11.9.5 Hearing Protection
The site supervisor shall provide hearing protection for all employees exposed to excessive.
Employees are required to wear hearing protection when working in marked areas and around
pieces of operating equipment or tools such as, chain saws, grinders, and generators and other
similar high noise tools and equipment. Site supervisor is responsible for providing the proper types
of hearing protectors for their employees along with training in its proper use.
11.9.6 Work Clothing
Clothing must have adequate protection to the body. Shirts must have at least a t‐sleeve. Shirt‐tails
must be worn inside the trousers except in the case of welders and burners. No polyester or nylon
clothing will be allowed for burners or welders. FRC (Fire Retardant Clothing) shall be worn if Site
deems necessary by Sama Global HSE Dept.
11.9.7 Respiratory Protection
Before any employee starts work requiring the use of respiratory protective equipment, he/she
must undergo training under the competent trained program administrator:

Employees shall furnish, erect, maintain, and dismantle all barricades required for its work.

11.12 Spray Painting
Silica sand shall not be used for general abrasive blasting; use an alternate blasting media such as
Star blast*. Black Beauty*, etc.
Site Supervisor shall take necessary steps to protect surrounding permanent fixtures and all Sit*
facilities from blast grit, grit dust, and paint over spray if blast and field painting is permitted.
